Two forms of natural gas are currently used in vehicles: compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). 

CNG is primarily used as a fuel  for buses and trucks that return  to base for refuelling on a regular basis. CNG is also used as a fuel  for cars.
